This is a procedural issue that must be supported. It is the common case among organizations that "certify the certification agencies" and "accredit the accrediting agencies" that autonomy of the organization must be delineated in standard operating procedures. ACME must be identified as independent from the professional organization, as the objectives of both organizations are themselves independent.

Proposed Bylaws Change: Removal of ARTICLE XIII: ACCREDITATION COMMISSION FOR MIDWIFERY EDUCATION from ACNM Bylaws.
The Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME) became an independent organization in 2023. Members were notified of this change on July 28th, 2023 through an email by Interim CEO Michelle Munroe. ACME has a subset within our bylaws, Article XIII that needs to be removed.
