Any member of the ACNM may propose the formation of a new online community.
Upon approval, the community will be added to the ACNM's CONNECT networking platform. There, ACNM members will have access to the community with an online discussion area, document library, announcement area, and events calendar.
Optimally, each online community should have at least one host or facilitator committed to the role for one year. Facilitators are responsible for welcoming members to the community, helping and directing members to resources, and posting new discussions or questions as needed.
If a community goes dormant, the Facilitator hosts are responsible for reinvigorating the group, or can work with ACNM staff to bring the community to a close.
If you would like to submit a proposal for a new online community or to revitalize a dormant one, please submit the following to connect@acnm.org:
Name:
Email Address:
Phone number:
Who will be the community's Facilitator(s) host?:
The facilitators understand that it is their responsibility to develop plans, activities, and goals for the community; recruit and retain community members; monitor and encourage activity among participants; and pose questions related to community topics as needed.
